Thanksgiving and Chanukah -- Time to Get Ready to Party!

Yom shlishi, 3 Kislev 5775.

Ah, being Jewish and American. It means nearly doubling your holiday options. In a few days, Thanksgiving offers us "Turkey Day," and Super Torjman helps us to acquire the national delicacy. Whole turkey available at 27.90 NIS per kilo. You'll probably have some left-over for Shabbat. That's something to be thankful for!

Don't let Chanukah sneak up on you. Even though it seems there are plenty of pre-filled oil chanukiah kits, they disappear from the shelves very quickly.

What a country: you can even choose which kind of oil you prefer to use for the mitzvah!

Prices at Super Torjman range between 55 NIS and 75 NIS.

Here's a new product: Though Mendelsohn's pizza products have been in the Super Torjman freezer section for several months, the new 5" Pie is adorable -- and just as delicious as the other products in the line, which include full-size pies, bagel pizzas, and even a whole wheat crust option. Something for every pizza lover in the family.

Here are a few items that have been around for a while, but deserve special mention.

The non-milk beverage options at Super Torjman rival any I have seen outside a health food store! Not just soy and rice milk, but almond and sunflower are also available.

As the temperature cools down, it's nice to have so many choices in tea -- especially when it's on sale!

Amazing and growing selection in the breakfast cereal aisle at Super Torjman, both familiar American products and Israeli products.

I am seeking a Neve Daniel-based volunteer to translate what I write for the (hopefully) weekly blog for Super Torjman into Hebrew. If you have the skill and the time -- I will try to keep the copy brief and to the point! -- please contact me at rutimizrachi at gmail.com.
